It's Been Busy But ...

I was actually able to create a nice-sized piece of silk fusion on Saturday! I ordered a complete set of the Salt Island silk rovings and they're absolutely scrumptuous. This piece is about 13" x 15" and will be the base for another Pemi piece. I'll try to take a picture and upload. I did discover that making silk fusion in a larger format isn't as simple as something 4" x 6"; this resulted in some holes. But I love them and they're staying. You'll be the only ones to know that they weren't intentional!

The other thing I need to do is to get to the hardware store to get more staples for the staple gun. I have 3 pieces just waiting to be mounted and finished; I finally got everything I needed and the staple gun ran out after just three tacks. I'll be returning the Apres Ski pieces in a couple of weeks and need to get something new on the walls. I'd love to have a couple of the Pemi pieces ready to go!
